How to Use Fitkari for Underarms
The traditional way to use fitkari for underarm odour takes under a minute. Here is the stone method, step by step, followed by the mistakes that most often cause stinging or mess.
Before you start: patch test
Rub a small amount on your inner forearm and wait 24 hours. If you notice redness, itching or burning, do not use it on your underarms. Skip fitkari on broken, cut or irritated skin.
The stone method
- Start clean. Wash and dry your underarms after a shower.
- Wet the stone. Hold the stone under running water or dip it in clean water for a moment.
- Glide gently. Move the damp stone lightly across each underarm. You do not need to press hard.
- Let it dry. Wait until the skin is dry before dressing.
- Store the stone dry. Rinse it, shake off the water and keep it where it can dry, otherwise it can get slimy.
Common mistakes
- Using it right after shaving, when tiny nicks can sting.
- Pressing hard, which does not help and can irritate skin.
- Leaving the stone in standing water.
- Expecting it to stop sweat. Fitkari is for odour, not for stopping natural sweating.
If you prefer not to rub a stone
A spray gives the same familiar ingredient without wetting or rubbing. See how to use a liquid fitkari spray, or look at Vibe Fresh, a 100 ml potassium alum spray.
